MU-BI has formed a team to begin the long process of establishing a Micronesian culture-based charter school on Hawai’i Island called Navigating Success Academy. The idea was based on the MU-BI co-sponsored study entitled, “Feasibility Study to Establish a Micronesia Culture-based Charter School & Educational Programs,” conducted by a consultancy team from UH Manoa’s College of Education doctoral program. This is a long process, but we are dedicated to the journey.
School Mission
We believe our students are both scholars and stewards and have a responsibility to our expanding community. With a strong and committed Micronesian cultural heritage as our foundation, we will demonstrate our shared values of unity in our diversity, preservation of our traditions, and our strengths as navigators. We will apply those longstanding attributes to honor our past in order to better prepare our future.
